Albert Meige is the founder and President of PRESANS. Albert is responsible for the global strategy and the operational execution of PRESANS. Albert is a Telecom engineer and he holds a double PhD degree. He has spent 7 years in research in various international labs. Open Innovation has been his field of interest over the last 3 years. The first Prize of Innovation of the Ecole Polytechnique was handed to him by Albert Fert, Nobel Prize in Physics.

Mathieu Dupas co-founded PRESANS. Mathieu is in charge of the Challenge process and follow up. He has been interested in Open Innovation since the early days. He has spent 9 years in the industry, working for international companies in Canada and France. His experience ranges from R&D engineer to industrialization Manager, for electronics and automotive companies.

Nicolas Lemonnier co-founded PRESANS. He is in charge of sales and funding. Previously he worked in various General Electric businesses abroad in corporate finance. After studying innovation mechanisms he joinded PRESANS in 2009. He holds a business master's degree.

Anthony Simon co-founded PRESANS. He is responsible for the communication strategy and execution of PRESANS. He is a graduate of TEC de Monterrey and Montpellier Business School. He has spent 5 years abroad in large and small companies. Anthony is interested in the strategic and business development of early-stage companies.

Vassilis Plachouras is acting Chief Technical Officer of PRESANS. Vassilis holds a PhD in computer science (Information Retrieval - IR) and is a former researcher at Yahoo! Research where he worked for 3 years. His research interests include Web IR, architectures for large-scale distributed search engines, contextual and search advertising, as well as expert search. Vassilis has received the best-paper award at the 18th ACM Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (CIKM 2009).

Scientific Committee

Jacques Schmitt is a member of the scientific committee of PRESANS. He is in charge of the conversion of industrial needs into "Challenges". Jacques Schmitt, alumnus from the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Ulm), holds a PhD in Physics from the Ecole Polytechnique. He spent half of his career as a researcher in the academia: he was a professor at the Ecole Polytechnique and has founded and headed several laboratories. He spent the other half of is carrier in the industry as a CTO and R&D Director in companies such as UNAXIS.

Rod Boswell is a member of the scientific committee of PRESANS and the local contact person in Australia. Rod Boswell heads Space Plasma, Power and Propulsion group of the Australian National University. He is active in the fields of plasma processing of surfaces for microelectronics and optoelectronics, plasma thrusters and fuel cells. Over the past 15 years he has published over 100 papers, been granted 7 patents. He has been elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Sciences. He has contacts with many industrialists in the world and has managing responsibilities in two other companies.

Valery Godyak is a member of the scientific committee of PRESANS and the local contact person in USA. Valery Godyak holds a PhD degree in plasma physics from Moscow State University in Russia. He has spend over 12 years in accademia in Russia and over 20 years as a corporate scientist in the R&D department of OSRAM in the United-States. His works are represented in numerous publications, US Patents and textbooks. He is a winner of the Osram Star, Siemens International Innovation Competition and Osram Sylvania Innovation awards.

Board of Advisors

Christophe Midler contributes to the development and the implementation of the methodology that PRESANS uses for the conversion of industrial needs into into Challenges. Christophe Mildler, alumnus from Ecole Polytechnique and doctor in management, currently heads the Management Research Center of the Ecole Polytechnique (France). His research focuses on major changes of big companies in the field of project organization and design of new products. He also heads the Innovation Management Chair of the Ecole Polytechnique. He is also the author of the bestseller "l’auto qui n'existait pas" ("the car that never was").
