Summary
I am a Physicist with a background in atomic and molecular Physics. I earned my PhD at the Physics and Astronomy department of the University of Manchester. Currently I held the position of Research Faculty ( tenure) at the Phisics Institute of the National University of Mexico. My current reseach interest cover fundamental studies of molecular photionization using position sensitive detectors and synchrotron radiation. In addition to this, I am engaged in fundamental studies on plasma physics, in particular those related with the measrement of transport properties of ions and electrons in plasmas. One of the salient features of my activities is the development of advanced instrumentation: Cavity extended lásers, spectrometers, ion and electron optics and finite element calculations
